
TRAGIC END: A rescue helicopter retrieves one of the five bodies found on the hills of Nallamala forests near Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh on Thursday. The bodies included that of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy. He was among the five persons killed when the State government’s Bell-430 chopper crashed on Wednesday morning.
HYDERABAD: All of 24 hours after the helicopter in which he was travelling went missing, the body of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy was recovered from its wreckage on Thursday morning. Within six hours, Finance Minister Konijeti Rosaiah (77) was sworn in Chief Minister at a hurriedly organised and low-key ceremony, by Governor N.D. Tiwari at the Raj Bhavan.
